The HerRise MicroGrant is another monthly option if your business is U.S.-registered and 51% women-owned: it provides $1,000 each month and closes at 11:59 PM on the last day of the month.
Practical tip: Don’t rewrite from scratch every month. Build one strong “core” application and improve it monthly based on what you learn.
Larger Grants Worth the One-Time Push
If your business has a strong connection to Queens, New York, the Queens Tech & Innovation Challenge is offering awards up to $20,000, with applications accepted through March 2, 2026 (11:59 PM).
In Canada, Zensurance is running a small business grant contest with a published deadline of March 3, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET, including a $10,000 grant for the selected recipient plus smaller runner-up awards as described.
For mission-driven women founders in the U.S., the Hey Helen Grant offers a $10,000 cash award with an April 30, 2026 application deadline (11:59 PM EDT), and it spells out key eligibility limits such as being women-owned and under $1M in annual revenue.
If you’re building a high-growth company and are open to pitching, Women Founders Network’s Fast Pitch Competition accepts applications April 1 through May 31, 2026, with $25,000 cash grants for first place winners in each track (plus an additional $5,000 grant selected by Junior VCs).
Finally, if you’re a Canadian entrepreneur looking for national visibility, the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards have a published nomination deadline (March 20, 2026) and application deadline (May 14, 2026) for the 2026 cycle.
