How Teagan of GPG Designs is Reimagining What it Means to be a Woman in Tech

GPG Designs

Web designer and founder Teagan of GPG Designs is blending creativity, tech, and heart to redefine what it means to be a woman in tech—on her own terms.

What happens when a lifelong artist, tech professional, and new mom launches a web design studio with soul?

You get Teagan—the founder of GPG Designs and a creative force reshaping what digital presence means for small businesses today.

For Teagan, design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about communication, community, and compassion. With over a decade of experience in tech and a background in dance and the arts, she brings a unique blend of left-brain logic and right-brain creativity to every project.

“I’ve danced my whole life,” she shares. “And I’ve also been in tech for 10+ years—so this business really came from combining my two worlds.”

From Marketing to Meaningful Design

Teagan’s journey into entrepreneurship started not as a designer, but as a digital marketer. That marketing mindset continues to shape her work. “I believe websites are more powerful when designed by marketers,” she says.

“Websites are a function of marketing. The design, structure, and content should be driven by communicators—not just technicians.”

At GPG Designs, strategy and storytelling come first. Every client is encouraged to dream big, dig deep, and build online spaces that reflect not just what they offer—but who they are.

Leading with Compassion

As a new mom, Teagan is navigating the balance between business and baby with grace and intention. “Life looks different these days,” she laughs. “More baby snuggles, less sleep.”

But motherhood hasn’t slowed her down—it’s shifted her focus. “I value compassion, empathy, and seeing the human in each other,” she says. “That’s what we bring to our clients too. Every project is personal.”

GPG Designs is proudly woman-led and deeply community-driven. Teagan was born and raised in Australia and has called Toronto home for over 10 years. Her roots in small business culture are strong, and she believes in keeping money—and meaning—circulating locally.

Websites That Work For You

A pretty website is nice. But a strategic, user-friendly, high-converting website? That’s what GPG Designs is all about.

“Your website should work for you,” Teagan explains. “It should be a tool in your marketing toolbox—not just something that looks good. We love helping clients build systems that support their growth.”

Whether she’s building out an e-commerce site, a service-based booking platform, or a custom portfolio, Teagan’s approach is grounded in collaboration, education, and empowerment.

“I don’t believe in gatekeeping. I want my clients to feel confident using their site once we’re done.”

Dream Big. Start Small. Keep Going.

Above all, Teagan believes in the power of ideas—and the people behind them.

“Everyone has a unique story to tell,” she says. “The best business ideas often come from our lived experiences. I love hearing people’s big dreams and helping them bring those to life online.”

In a digital world that can often feel cold or transactional, Teagan is building something different: a design studio that’s human-first, values-led, and deeply intentional.

Her advice for other creatives? “Start where you are. Lead with your values. And don’t be afraid to evolve.”
